Online steel part editor
The TopSteel part editor lets you draw a steel plate or bar, edit its holes and cutouts, and inspect the drawing and 3D result. You can also import DSTV/NC1 files to revise a part in your browser.
Preparing a part? Try the editor.
Start with a drilled plate, change its dimensions or move a hole. The drawing and 3D view follow your changes.
Edit the example or import your DSTV. Try without an account; registration is required to download NC1.
Plates and bars
All the usual sections, or one typed by hand: round, tube, angle, I section.
DSTV import
Open an NC1 file and edit the part: outlines, drillings, slots and markings are carried over.
Mouse sketch
Move holes and vertices directly on the part, with undo and a net weight updated at every step.
NC1 file
Download the file once registered. Check it on your machine before starting production.

What can I try in the part configurator?
Create a plate or profile, change dimensions, add holes, cutouts and markings, and inspect the drawing and 3D view. Plates also support bends. The starting example is a 300 × 200 × 10 mm plate with four 18 mm holes.
Can I import and edit a DSTV or NC1 file?
Yes. “Import DSTV” opens an NC1 file to edit its geometry. Check dimensions, faces and operations after import, then verify the exported file on your machine before manufacturing.
Do I need an account to try the demo?
You can try the demo without an account. Registration with professional contact details is required for the first NC1 download in this browser. Existing signed-in customers can download directly.
Where are demo parts stored?
File reading and geometry editing run in your browser. A valid draft is stored locally so you can resume your work. Contact details entered during registration are sent to TopSteel with a part summary, as explained in the form.
